His tireless efforts in recruiting new members have paid off, as he successfully secured three new recruits who will begin shortly. Grant County Sheriff Raul Villanueva will serve as the guest speaker at the upcoming PFLAG of Silver City meeting. During his presentation, Sheriff Villanueva will address personal safety strategies and discuss ways the Grant County community can work together to enhance safety for all. The meeting is scheduled for tomorrow, January 7th at 6 p.m. at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship. Following the presentation, attendees will have the opportunity to share and offer support.
After being designated a Comprehensive Support and Improvement (CSI) school for the 2022-23 and 2023-24 school years, R.V. Taylor Elementary in Lordsburg faced challenges but used that as an opportunity for meaningful change. The school has since earned the status of a Traditional school, reflecting the dedication and hard work of its staff. With targeted initiatives such as enhanced Math and Science resources, the iReady assessment tool, social-emotional training, and professional development, RVT has seen measurable improvements, leading to significant progress in student outcomes and setting a strong foundation for continued growth.
