The WNMU Football Team will be at the Gospel Mission on Saturday, September 14th at 10 am to load a semi-trailer of clothes that will be sent to Africa to help the needy through the Charity Shoes of Dallas.  Head Coach Adam Clark sends the Mustangs to do community service projects to help others, but also to build teamwork and teach players values and leadership skills, according to a release.

After the work is done on Saturday, the Mission will serve barbecue ribs and grilled steaks.  The public is invited out to either help load clothes or aid with the cooking, serving, and eating the meal with the team.

The Mission is also looking for volunteers to help with the Sunday Community Meal that will start September 22nd and run from 10am-2pm.  If you are interested in lending a hand, please drop by the Mission at 111 S. Texas St behind Jalisco’s Restaurant in downtown Silver City or contact Randy at 388-5071.
