The San Vicente Creek River Stewardship Project is now working on Phase 2 of the San Vicente Creek Restoration Project. Volunteers have removed more than 30 acres of invasive trees from the riparian corridor that pose a fire risk and crowd out native vegetation. Next, they will be working on restoring the cottonwoods, willows and other natives along San Vincente, Pinos Altos and Silva creeks. The goal is to help restore the local watersheds and build climate resilience in our ecological systems.
