Congratulations to Deming High School’s Science Olympiad and Math Engineering and Science Achievement (MESA) students. Team members Daisy Blanco, Daniel Mosier, Sebastien Lescombes, Ayshleen Lopez, Gisselle Reyes, Addison Schulke, Crystal Galarza and Nathaniel Barron recently won the regional championship of the Southwest Regional Education Cooperative Region Ten competition. Both programs started in 2015 and teach students about science, math, engineering and current events. The MESA program allows students to earn incentive points that can lead to a $1,000 grant to help continue their education upon graduation. These programs are a great way for students to not only learn from each other but to also help them further their education.
