Free Flu Vaccination Drive- Through Clinic in Lordsburg a Great Success
Silver City, NM (October 5, 2016) A total of 262 flu vaccinations were administered by multiple Hidalgo Medical Services (HMS) providers, medical staff, and support staff at this year’s free, drive-through clinic. The clinic was held this past Saturday at the HMS Lordsburg Clinic from 9:00am to 12:00pm.
HMS has distributed free flu vaccines to the residents of southwestern New Mexico for over 10 years. “The HMS Medical Services team coordinated this free flu vaccination clinic in an effort to provide more accessible influenza immunizations to our community,” stated Darrick Nelson, MD, HMS Chief Medical Officer and Family Medicine Residency Program Director. “We were very impressed with the number of community members who participated in this year’s free flu clinic in Lordsburg,” added Nelson.
