Fire Report 070218:

The Owl Fire that started on Saturday, June 30th, located 4 miles northeast of Saddle Mountain in the Gila National Forest, is comprised of 100 acres, and utilizing 56 personnel. The fire is burning south of Aspen Mountain near the Flying T trail in an inventoried roadless area. Crews are scouting the fire for suppression opportunities and beginning indirect line preparation on Aspen Mountain Trail #506 and Forest Road 209. The District has temporarily closed the following trails: #506 Aspen Mountain, #21 Flying T Spring, #515 Dangerous Park, #44 Cottonwood, and #36 Camp Canyon for public safety. Smoke is visible in Luna, Rancho Grande Subdivision, and the Glenwood area. Lightening has been determined to be the cause of the fire.
