The WNMU School of Business, as part of the Delta Mu Delta Guest Lecture Series, is featuring speaker, Jerry Pacheco, who will be presenting a lecture titled “New Mexico International Business Accelerator”. The program is scheduled for this Wednesday at 4:00 p.m. in Light Hall Theater. The Delta Mu Delta Guest Lecture Series are hosted by students with the goal of opening discussions regarding the business field and provide access to hear from extraordinary individuals shaping business in the community.

The Reserve Ranger District will begin winter operations of developed recreation sites including Dipping Vat, Aeroplane Mesa, Ben Lilly, Willow Creek, and Apache Creek Campgrounds. Dipping Vat Campground will not be charging a fee during winter operations since the water system will be turned off to prevent freezing and damage to the lines during the fall and winter.  The trash service customarily provided will also not be available during the winter season.

Students from Memorial Elementary School in Deming, honored the city and county’s first responders by providing treats for the local heroes during a special assembly. Members of the Deming Police, Luna County Sheriff’s Office, Deming Fire Department and New Mexico State Police were included in this annual tradition that began the year after the September 11th, 2001 terrorist attacks.

The Fort Bayard Historic Preservation Society invites the public to attend a World War I Lecture, titled “German-Mexican Relations in World War 1”, at the Santa Clara Armory on Hwy 180 at 7:00 p.m. this Wednesday. The doors open at 6:30 p.m.
