The Bayard City Council will hold a regular meeting at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 20, at Bayard City Hall. During the meeting, council members are scheduled to discuss and take possible action on Resolution 10-2026, authorizing the City of Bayard to enter into a funding agreement with the New Mexico Interstate Stream Commission. Hidalgo Medical Services continues to expand access to healthcare through its transportation program, which has provided more than 750 rides for 547 patients across Grant and Hidalgo counties. Students from Silver Consolidated Schools were recently recognized as Students of the Month for their outstanding leadership, character, kindness, and perseverance both in and outside the classroom. Honorees included Aracely Martinez of Cliff High School, Raiden Lopez and Leilani Hoffman of La Plata Middle School, and Mia Cordova and Reagan Turrieta of Silver High School.
