The Gila Regional Medical Center Governing Board will convene in a special meeting to discuss ways to improve the Governing Board Bylaws. The Gila National Forest Silver City Ranger is planning to continue ignitions on the P.A. Prescribed Fire project that began last week. Today, April 11, the ignition was planned on 12 acres of National Forest System lands in the Bear Creek drainage of P.A. Trail guards will monitor traffic along the Continental Divide National trail allowing hikers to get through. The Bear Creek Road will be temporarily closed to allow firefighters access and to protect public safety. Silver City Public Library will be hosting a Spanish speaking event this Saturday, April 15, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. This is not a class nor a library sponsored event.
