The New Mexico Early Childhood Department is inviting parents and caregivers to participate in their annual survey. The survey is confidential and also a great way to voice opinions about the services the department provides. Go to their  website  to fill out the survey. 

The Silver City Gospel Mission recently participated in three Health Resource Fairs sponsored by the New Mexico Department of Health. These fairs took place at Silver and Cobre High School and Western New Mexico University. These fairs were a great opportunity for students  to learn about how they can volunteer and all the resources the Gospel Mission provides to help the community. Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham passed a law this past Friday that signed into law tax priorities that she proposed earlier this year. More than 900,000 taxpayers will get a $500 rebate this spring. 

Pick It Up- Toss No Mas will partner with Gila Earth Day for a community clean up day on Saturday, April, 15 from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm. at Gough Park parking lot. Supplies and snacks will be provided to those who come and volunteer. For more information, call 575-538-8078. 

Congratulations to the Luna County Parents as Teachers program which just celebrated their 10 year anniversary. The program was established in 2013 and has served over 800 children annually. The program provides trained educators who are able to access and catch developmental delays in young children.

Maverick Movement is having a Bubbles for Autism event on Saturday, April 15th from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm. Activities, hot dogs and information booths will be available to the public. The event will take place at Lordsburg High School with the Autism walk starting at 8:00 a.m.
