Looking for a safe alternative to taking your little monsters Trick-or-Treating this year? Here are a couple of options you may want to consider:
On Friday from 9 am to 1 pm, A Better Chimney will be having a Trick-or-Treat in the store. There will be candy for the kiddos, so Trick-or-Treat where it’s nice and warm.
Or, you can Trick-or-Treat at your Library this Halloween. Get started on your Halloween night with a gift bag and goodies from 3 to 5 pm on Friday from the Silver City Public Library. Trick-or-Treaters of all ages are welcome.
Bring your Goblin to Trick-or-Treat at Gila Regional Medical Center on Friday from 3:30 to 5 pm. Kids will receive a free Halloween goodie bag while supplies last.
Trailer-or-Treat on Friday from 5:30 to 7:30 pm at Silver Trailer, # 2 Caballero Road by the Southwest Horseman’s Arena. This event is free to the public, and there will be candy for the kids who come by and get it.
A Harvest/Halloween Festival from 6 to 9 pm at the Knights of Columbus Hall, 1301 North Swan. There will be Halloween games for all ages, including cake-walk, carved pumpkin contest, costume judging, and Trick-or-Treat.

A performance of the Blithe Spirit Ghostly and Improbably Comedy at the Old Elks Lodge Performance Hall at 6:30 pm, or non-dinner seating at 7:15.
The Halloween Bash at the Buckhorn Saloon in Pinos Altos at 7 pm.
The Hell House Haunted House at 1503 Silver Heights Boulevard at 7 pm.
The Costume and Dance Party at the Little Toad Creek Brewery and Distillery in Downtown Silver City at 8:30 pm.
A Halloween Party at the VFW with prizes for Best Costume and Best Couple at 8:30 pm.
Dianne’s Restaurant and Parlor is having a Halloween Costume Contest on Friday evening with prizes for the three best costumes.
Uncle Bill’s Bar in Reserve is hosting a Halloween Dance and Costume Contest on Friday from 9 pm to 1 am.
And, if you’re not interested in Trick-or-Treating or a Costume party, there will be a showing of “Into the Storm” at WNMU’s Light Hall at 7 and 9:30 pm.
