October 21 Incident Report:
At approximately 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 20, New Mexico State Police, volunteer search and rescue teams, and other law enforcement agencies Sheriffs began a search near Reserve, N.M. for Stephen Lockhart, age 43, of Costa Mesa, Calif.
Lockhart was reported missing by his father on Sunday morning after failing to return from an (approximately) five-mile afternoon hike between the Saddle Mountain Lookout area and their group campsite, located about three miles from the Pueblo Park campground, about 14 miles southwest of Reserve, in the Gila National Forest. Lockhart and another man had planned to make the hike together, but became separated when darkness fell.
Volunteer search and rescue teams, directed by the New Mexico State Police began operations Sunday night, continuing through today.

Height 6’0”
Weight: 200 pounds
Clothing: Camo pants, blue hooded sweatshirt, work-style boots
