Senior quarterback Mitch Glasmann will go down in record books for the second time this season setting the career passing yards mark on Saturday. Despite the new record, it wouldn’t be enough for the Western New Mexico University football team to overcome Colorado Mesa University as the Mavericks came away with the 52-26 RMAC victory. Glasmann also holds the career passing touchdowns mark, which he broke at Colorado State University-Pueblo earlier this year. Glasmann set the RMAC passing yards record in style as he threw for 532 yards, a new career-high, as he completed 33-of-61 and had two touchdowns. It’s the second time this year he has eclipsed the 500-yard mark going for 501 against CSU-Pueblo.
