The Mimbres Region Arts Council Artist Lecture series for tonight, October 10th at 6:30 pm, will feature WNMU Faculty member Danny Reyes. Reyes will present a free history of jazz at Parotti Hall.
Reyes received a Master of Music degree in Jazz Performance from William Paterson University. While in school, he studied with world-renowned musicians and played lead trumpet in the univeristy’s Jazz Orchestra. He has also played in big bands, brass bands and small ensembles in New York and New Jersey, playing both well-known favorites and original music composed by band-mates.
Reyes is presented in part by the Western Institute for Lifelong Learning, WNMU, and the Mimbres Region Arts Council. Head out tonight, October 10th, to WNMU Parotti Hall at 6:30 pm to hear Danny Reyes’ presentation on the history of jazz.
