Congratulations to the Cliff Business Professionals of America (BPA) for their outstanding performance at the Regionals competition held in Las Cruces last week. Raydan Thomas earned 1st place in Economic Research Individual. Hailee Best secured 1st place in Extemporaneous Speech and 2nd place in Management, Marketing, and Human Resource Concepts. Kaylee Summers achieved 1st place in Digital Communications & Digital Design Concepts and 2nd place in Meeting & Event Planning Concepts. Emmy Allsup placed 2nd in Financial Math & Analysis Concepts. Additionally, the Podcast Team earned 4th place.
The Village of Santa has announced that the sidewalk repairs on Fort Bayard Street are scheduled to be completed by mid-January. In addition to this project, work on Caddel Crossing is also expected to be finished in January. These improvements are part of the village’s efforts to enhance local infrastructure. The timely completion of these projects aims to improve accessibility and safety for residents and visitors.

The New Mexico Higher Education Department has expanded the reach of its Teacher Loan Repayment Program, increasing the number of educators benefiting from loan forgiveness. The program offers up to $6,000 per year for two years to help licensed New Mexico educators in high-need areas and schools pay off federal student loan debt and interest. This year, the department awarded funding to 537 new applicants and renewed support for 357 existing recipients.
