In our Goose Fire update:
The Albuquerque Zone Type 3 Team announced that the final update on the Goose Fire was provided on Saturday, July 26th. At that time, only minimal heat remained, and the fire was set to be monitored by lookouts and air resources for any signs of renewed activity. Some firefighters have already been demobilized and have begun their journey home, while the remaining crews and medical support personnel were released from the incident earlier today. This morning, July 28th, the team transferred management of the fire to the Gila National Forest. A plan of action has been developed to address the remaining containment needs using local resources. Any questions about the Goose Fire can be directed to the Gila National Forest.
