At the time of compiling this report, the New Mexico Department of Health has reported 237 confirmed positive cases of the COVID-19 virus in New Mexico. There have been 2 confirm deaths from COVID-19, one on Eddy County and one in Bernalillo County.  As of the time of compiling this report, the New Mexico Department of Health has reported 0 confirmed positive COVID-19 cases in Catron, Grant, Luna, and Hidalgo counties.

The New Mexico Department of Health has unveiled two online tools for the public regarding a portal for receiving COVID-19 test results in addition to a self-screening tool to aid in determining if one needs to be tested for COVID-19. The test portal can be found at cvresults.nmhealth.org. All persons who test positive for COVID-19 will be informed via a phone call by their provider or the New Mexico Department of Health. The portal will list their results as “pending” until they are notified. The self-screening tool can be found at cv.nmhealth.org/should-I-get-tested/. At this site, New Mexicans will be provided with a list of questions designed to determine the extent of their symptoms and their chances of exposure to COVID-19 in order to provide recommendations as to whether they should be tested.

Effective tomorrow, March 31st, state directives will take effect allowing licensed New Mexico motor vehicle dealers with less than 90 cars at the dealer’s licensed location, whether for sale or not, to sell vehicles at their location by appointment only. According to the New Mexico Independent Automobile Dealers Association, some of the rules include the following: that no more than one appointment at the dealership at a time with no more than two clients at a time; clients do not enter the dealership building; both parties practice 10 feet of social distancing; each appointment allows for test drives of 2 vehicles; and all vehicles be thoroughly disinfected before and after every test drive.
