At the time of compiling this report, the New Mexico Department of Health, announced a total of 97,095 New Mexico COVID-19 confirmed positive cases statewide, an increase of 1,684 new cases. In addition, COVID-19 cases recorded locally are as follows: Grant County increased 10 new case for a total of 509 positive cases; Luna County increased 10 new cases for a total of 1,956 positive cases; Hidalgo County increased 1 new case for a total 186 total positive cases; and Catron County remained the same for a total of 36 positive cases. Statewide, there are 876 COVID-19 hospitalizations.
The New Mexico Department of Workforce Solutions are urging claimants to utilize online services whenever possible to help relieve phone line congestion. In the case a claimant needs to speak with a Customer Service Agent, they are asked to abide by the call-in schedule that directs using the last number of the individual’s social security number as follows:
- Monday 0-3
- Tuesday 4-6
- Wednesday 7-9
- Thursday and Friday if you missed your scheduled day
Online services for UI benefits can be accessed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, apart from scheduled maintenance, at www.jobs.state.nm.us.
