The New Mexico Department of Transportation has issued a roadway advisory for two areas in Grant County. The roads have been closed in relation to flooding in the area, including floating debris. NM 159 from mile marker 2 to 25 in Mogollon, and NM 211 from mile marker 3 to 4 at Bear Creek in Gila are currently closed. State Road 159 (Bursum Road) is closed due to flooding. Updates and traffic alerts will be posted on NMDOT’s website at www.nmroads.com.
Forest Road 150 is now open, but high-clearance vehicles are recommended to drive this area. Highway 152 is open between San Lorenzo and Kingston: drivers should be alert for livestock, wildlife, rocks, and fallen trees and debris while traveling this road. A small portion of the forest around the fire area remains closed for the safety of the public. Recreation areas along Highway 152 remain closed, and the Aldo Leopold Wilderness area is also still closed.
