The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Silver City will be holding a Humanitarian Work Day this Saturday, September 28th from 2 to 5 pm. All women in the community are invited out to help. The Relief Society will meet in the Cultural Hall in the LDS Chapel, 3755 North Swan, where they will work on a number of service projects including Duvet Covers for the Homeless Shelter, Emergency Kits for the Crisis Center at GRMC, kits for El Refugio and the Gospel Mission, and newborn kits and quilts for those in need.
The work day will be followed by dinner and the Women’s Broadcast from Salt Lake City. For a list of acceptable donations to these causes, or for more information, call 388-3377.
