According to a release from the Associated Press, New Mexico officials have calculated over $19 million in flood damages to New Mexico roads. An estimated $13 million cost will go into repairs for NM-159 in the Mogollon area. A large part of the road was damaged during last month’s heavy flooding.
A department spokeswoman said reconstruction of two miles of the road will cost $3 million of the $13 million, and the other $10 million will be used to realign other parts of the damaged road and deal with extensive erosion.
