Here’s a look at today’s headlines:
State Treasurer Tim Eichenberg spoke at the November 3 Chamber of Commerce luncheon meeting held at Western New Mexico University on Thursday. Eichenberg spoke about the State finances and a proposal he will offer legislators to consider in the January Legislative Session.
This morning a U.S. Magistrate Judge sitting in Las Cruces found probable cause to support a criminal complaint charging Michael Ray Sepulveda, 38, of Silver City, with child exploitation and child pornography charges. Sepulveda remains in custody pending trial.
Farm Service Agency Administrator Val Dolcini today announced that the US Department of Agriculture will begin mailing ballots to eligible farmers and ranchers actoss the country for the 2016 FSA County Committee elections on Monday, November 7th, 2016. Producers must return ballots to their local FSA offices by December 5th to ensure that their vote is counted.
Don’t forget, today and tomorrow are the last days to vote early. The General Election will be held Tuesday, November 8th. Absentee ballots must be received by 7 pm on Election Day. If you have not yet mailed your Absentee Ballot, it is advised that the ballot be hand-delivered to the Clerk’s Office.
