Come to Penny Park and enjoy a fun-filled morning on March 26th at the 3rd Annual Kiwanis Club of Silver City’s Free Community Easter Egg Hunt. More than 2,000 eggs will be hidden in Penny Park, with children divided into age groups. The hunts are scheduled throughout the morning according to age group. Ages 12 and over will have their hunt at 9 am, ages 10 to 11 at 9:30, ages 8 to 9 at 10, ages 6 to 7 at 10:30, ages 4 to 5 at 11, and ages 3 and under at 11:30. Children under the age of 3 must be able to walk on their own. Children are asked to register for their hunts 30 minutes prior to their hunt times. Pre-registration is required. While supplies last, some of the younger participants will receive a free Easter basket. For children ages 0 to 5 years of age, Imagination Library will be registering children for their free book a month. With the Easter Bunny, there will be pictures taken by FeVa Fotos for a small donation of $5 to help with Kiwanis children’s projects. Silver and Cobre Key Clubs, Aktion Club, and Rainbow Girls will be helping with the event. Special thanks for helping make the Silver City Kiwanis Club Easter Egg Hunt a success is given to Ace Hardware and WalMart. Thanks is also extended to the Rainbow Girls for filling the eggs and Girl Scouts for their donation. See you at Penny Park on the morning of March 26th.
