The Grant County Board of Commissioners will convene its Regular Meeting tomorrow, September 11, at 9 a.m. in the Grant County Administration Center. The agenda features several significant items, including proclamations recognizing Domestic Violence Awareness Month and the 2025 Grant County Fair Days. Commissioners will also hear presentations from the Community Health Council and Gila Regional Medical Center, consider awarding the bid for Ridge Road Improvements Phase I with authorization for the County Manager to execute the contract, and will open the floor for public input.

The New Mexico State Forester recently announced the rescission of fire restrictions in Catron, Grant and Hidalgo counties. The decision follows recent monsoon season precipitation that has reduced wildfire risk and helped mitigate drought conditions in these areas.
