The Town of Silver City recently received the Best Practices Award for Outstanding Achievement in the Field of Planning at the 26th Annual New Mexico Infrastructure Finance Conference that was held in Las Cruces last month. The outstanding achievement award recognizes Silver City’s efforts to develop the Vista de Plata subdivision, which creates affordable and work-force housing for community members in Grant County. The town was also recognized for its ability to partner and work with other organizations such as the Southwest New Mexico Council of Governments and Grand Silver City LCC to achieve ultimate affordable housing for the Town of Silver City.
In recognition of Veterans Day, Cliff Elementary School will be having a “Veteran Days Program” tomorrow, November 9th. There will be performances by the students for all Veterans, family, friends and community members. The program will take place at 2:00 p.m. at the Cliff Elementary School gymnasium.
