The New Mexico Department of Transportation has announced that US 180, near Hurley, will be closed from 7 a.m. on Thursday, March 6th until 5 p.m. on Friday, March 7th for the installation of a new water line. The closure, which will impact both eastbound and westbound traffic, is necessary for the removal and replacement of the existing waterline. A detour will be in place to redirect traffic, and travelers are advised to slow down, follow posted signs, and anticipate possible delays. Crews will be working around the clock to reopen the road as swiftly as possible to minimize disruption.

The Grant County local philanthropic group, “The 30 Something”, is now accepting applications for its $30,000 awards, which are designated for local nonprofit organizations within the county.
