Volunteers are needed to assist with wreath retirement at the Fort Bayard National Cemetery on Saturday, January 11th, starting at 8:30 AM. The primary tasks include removing wreaths from graves, stacking them along the sides of the lanes, and loading them onto trucks and trailers. Additional volunteers are needed to help unload the trucks and trailers at the dumpster site just outside the cemetery gates. The wreath retirement event will take place regardless of weather conditions, so volunteers are encouraged to wear gloves and dress appropriately for the tasks.
