As spring approaches, extreme weather conditions, including high winds, heighten the risk of wildfires. In response, PNM is proactively reaching out to customers in high fire-risk areas, such as Silver City, to remind them to be prepared for a potential Public Safety Power Shutoff (PSPS), which could result in power outages until it is safe to restore service. PNM will communicate directly with these customers through emails, postcards, and bill messages, providing guidance on how to prepare should extreme weather conditions necessitate the implementation of a PSPS. Customers are encouraged to visit website for more information on preparation and staying informed.
