The Grant County Emergency Manager has announced that, effective April 8th, fire restrictions will be enforced throughout the County due to persistent severe and extreme drought conditions, which have led to a declared fire emergency. In accordance with Grant County Fire Code Ordinance No. 14-2, these restrictions are intended to minimize potential ignition sources. As part of the measures, all open fires are prohibited, with the exception of those in developed campgrounds and picnic areas where agency-installed fire rings or grills are available. The restrictions will remain in place until conditions improve and may only be lifted under the authority of the Fire Management Officer or the Grant County Manager.
