The Grant County Cattle Growers recently helped raise funds to purchase the Grand Champion steer, shown at this year’s Cliff-Gila Grant County Fair. The purchase was made possible through the support of additional donors, including American Ag Credit, Searing Industries, Randy and Katherine Moore, David McCauley, and MBM Contracting LLC. In addition to acquiring the steer, the organization covered the processing costs, allowing the meat to be distributed to five local schools. This contribution provides students in culinary arts programs with valuable hands-on experience in preparing beef and the opportunity to enjoy the dishes they create.
