Several volunteers joined efforts to clean Big Ditch Park and the hillslope between Ace Hardware and Tractor Supply along Highway 180 successfully collecting several hundred pounds of trash from this historic downtown park. Over the course of the event, volunteers contributed a cumulative 107 hours to help maintain the cleanliness and beauty of Silver City for all to enjoy.

Construction is currently underway on the Memorial Stadium Lighting Project, an upgrade funded through the recently renewed bond for Deming Public Schools. The $630,870 project encompasses demolition, directional drilling, conduit installation, and the installation of new stadium lighting. These upgraded lights will enhance visibility and offer the capability to sync with music for special events. Construction began on Tuesday and is anticipated to be completed by Friday, March 28th.
