Grant County is hosting a Public Workshop to share information about the Grant County Comprehensive Plan, a crucial guide for future policy decisions and public funding investments. This workshop will offer an update on the plan while thoughtfully considering the county’s needs, as well as its short- and long-term goals and priorities. The workshop will take place tomorrow, October 11th, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Grant County Business and Conference Center. The community is encouraged to attend and contribute their insights and ideas to help ensure that Grant County continues to be a great place to live.

Luna County recently recognized two outstanding employees for their hard work and dedication to the community. Lupita Hernandez from the Planning Department and Stephanie Esparza from the Detention Center were both honored with service awards, each marking five years of commitment to their roles. Their contributions have helped make a significant impact on the community, showcasing a deep dedication to public service. Congratulations to both ladies. 

U.S. Representative Gabe Vasquez recently met with officials from Lordsburg to deliver critical funding for the Lordsburg Special Events Center and the South line Transmission Project, all aimed at enhancing public safety, community development, and energy resilience. In Lordsburg, Representative Vasquez presented a $500,000 check for the renovation of the Lordsburg Special Events Center, a significant investment intended to support families and strengthen rural communities. The renovated center will provide expanded recreational opportunities for local families and youth, creating a safe and welcoming space for children while also serving as a hub for community gatherings and events, fostering new opportunities for residents to connect.
