The Town of Hurley would like to thank all the residents who have come together to support Hurley’s Animal Shelter, helping to transform it into a prominent facility for southwestern New Mexico. With the shelter nearing full capacity over the past several months, volunteers have generously stepped up to care for the animals, including feeding and walking them on weekends. In addition, individuals have played a key role in organizing a meeting of volunteers, aiming to strengthen networking efforts and create a vision for a volunteer network that will support shelters and rescue operations throughout the region. Those interested in volunteering are encouraged to contact the acting Animal Control Officer at the Hurley Police Department.
