Red Mountain Middle School will be hosting a Yellow Ribbon Suicide Prevention community training this evening, March 20th, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Train Depot, located at 217 North Country Club Road in Deming. The training aims to raise awareness and provide valuable tools to help reduce youth suicide rates in rural New Mexico communities. Parents, guardians, family members, and community members are encouraged to attend and participate in this important event.

The New Mexico Department of Transportation has announced a full suspension of work on the Bridge Construction and Roadway Construction project. Despite the halt in construction activities, traffic control devices remain in place, affecting both northbound and southbound lanes on N.M. 32, located 9 miles north of Apache Creek. Travelers are urged to exercise caution and adhere to all detours and traffic control patterns. The project is expected to resume in the spring.
