Earlier this month, representatives from the Public Service Company of New Mexico (PNM) visited the Western New Mexico University campus to present the university with a $100,000 rebate check for the installation of four electric vehicle (EV) fast chargers. The rebate was part of PNM’s Transportation Electrification Program (2022-2023), which provided up to $25,000 per charging station to help offset the make-ready costs for installing the EV chargers. The installation of these chargers is part of a broader, ongoing initiative at the university, which will help move Western New Mexico University closer to its goal of carbon neutrality.
