Good afternoon, and Merry Christmas from all of us here at Silver City Radio.
Today, instead of our usual late-afternoon news update, we’re taking a moment to simply pause and reflect on what this day means across our communities in Silver City, Deming, and Lordsburg.

Christmas Day looks different for everyone. Some are gathered with family, some are traveling, and many are still working—making sure the rest of us stay safe, warm, and connected.

We want to extend a heartfelt thank-you to our first responders, healthcare workers, dispatchers, utility crews, and volunteers who are on the job today. Your dedication doesn’t stop for the holidays, and our communities are better because of you.

Throughout this season, we’ve seen countless quiet acts of generosity—neighbors checking on neighbors, families helping families, and local organizations stepping up without ever asking for recognition. That spirit is what defines southwest New Mexico.

On behalf of everyone here at Silver City Radio, thank you for welcoming us into your homes, your vehicles, and your daily lives throughout the year. We are grateful for our listeners and for the communities we are proud to serve.

From all of us to all of you—may your Christmas be filled with peace, comfort, and hope. Merry Christmas.
