In honor of “National Hunting and Fishing Day”, New Mexico will also host a “Free Fishing Weekend” on September 28th and 29th. This is a fantastic opportunity for families to enjoy the water, as residents and nonresidents of all ages can fish without a license at public waters statewide. Just remember that all other fishing regulations still apply. For more details on the best fishing spots, check out the weekly Fishing and Stocking Report on the website.
