Tomorrow, November 8th is General Election Day. There are several locations in Grant County where voters may cast their ballots. The official locations include: The Bayard Community Center; the Grant County Administration Center at 1400 Highway 180 East in Silver City; the Grant County Fairgrounds Exhibit Building in Cliff; San Lorenzo Elementary School; and the Silver City Woman’s Club located at 411 Silver Heights Boulevard. For Luna county residents, voter locations include: the Mimbres Valley Learning Center; Holy Family Church at 615 South Copper Street; and in Columbus at the Columbus Village Library. The polls at all locations will be open from 7:00 A.M. to 7:00 P.M.
There will be a total lunar eclipse visible from the area early tomorrow morning at 4:00 AM. This celestial event is the second total lunar eclipse of 2022 and will be visible from Asia, Australia, North America, parts of northern and eastern Europe, and most of South America.
