At the time of compiling this report, the New Mexico Department of Health, announced a total of 47,232 New Mexico COVID-19 confirmed positive cases statewide. In addition, COVID-19 cases recorded locally are as follows: Grant County increased to 206 total cases with 72 recovered; Luna County has risen to 1,158 total cases with 274 recovered; Hidalgo County has risen to 125 total cases with 86 recovered; and Catron County remains 10 total cases with 6 recovered.
Tomorrow, November 3rd is General Election day and Grant County has provided several Voter Convenience Center locations for residents to vote in-person or turn in their Absentee Ballots. Absentee Ballots must be received by 7:00 P.M. to be counted. Voting location hours are from 7:00 A.M. to 7:00 P.M. and the locations include:
- The Silver City Women’s Club
- Grant County Administrative Building
- Bayard Community Center
- Grant County Fairgrounds Exhibition Building
- San Lorenzo Elementary School

In addition, Hidalgo County Voter Convenience Centers for Precinct 1, 2, and 3 are at the James H. Baxter Civic Center; Precinct 4 at the Virden Community Center; Precinct 5 in Rodeo was all mail; and Precinct 6 is at the Animas Community Center. Voters may bring their ballot to the courthouse up until 7:00 P.M. tomorrow, or they may drop it off at any polling place on Election Day.
In Luna County the Voter Convenience Centers include, The Mimbres Valley Learning Center, Holy Family Parish Hall, and the Columbus Community Library. For more information, visit luna county nm dot us.
