At the time of compiling this report, the New Mexico Department of Health, announced a total of 65,454 New Mexico COVID-19 confirmed positive cases statewide. In addition, COVID-19 cases recorded locally are as follows: Grant County increased 12 new cases for a total of 304 cases; Luna County increased 14 new cases for a total of 1552; Hidalgo County increased 5 new cases for a total of 148; and Catron has increased 1 case for a total of 15 cases. Statewide there are 736 current hospitalizations.
The Grant County Board of Commissioners will convene in a Regular Meeting this Thursday, November 19th, at 9:00 a.m. The agenda for this meeting may be altered up to 72 hours prior to the meeting and copies can be viewed online at grant county nm dot gov. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, there are limits on the number of persons gathering, except for essential functions and the meeting will remain closed to the public. It may be viewed live on the County’s Facebook Page or later as a recording on the County’s website. Public input will be available via email and comments must be submitted prior to the meeting to khubbs@grantcountynm.gov with Public Comment noted in the subject line.
HMS is hosting free, limited contact flu vaccinations at their Drive-Thru Flu Vaccination Clinic this Saturday November 21st at the HMS main clinics in Silver City and Lordsburg. Registration is required and is open now the HMS website at HMS-nm.org. The free flu vaccinations are for persons 18 and up and registration is limited. For individuals that do not have internet access, they may register by calling HMS at 888-271-3596.
