At the time of compiling this report, the New Mexico Department of Health, announced a total of 56,289 New Mexico COVID-19 confirmed positive cases statewide. In addition, COVID-19 cases recorded locally are as follows: Grant County increased 6 new cases to a total of 247 with 75 recovered; Luna County increased 14 new cases to a total of 1,413 with 300 recovered; Hidalgo County increased 1 new case to a total of 133 with 86 recovered, and Catron remains at 10 total cases with 6 recovered. Sadly, yesterday the NMDOH reported 14 additional COVID-19 related deaths and 1,214 new cases statewide.

The Southwest Solid Waste Silver City Landfill will be open tomorrow on Veteran’s Day, from 8:00 A.M. to 12 Noon. The Tri-City Transfer Station will be closed the entire day. The changes in hours of operation are in observance of the Veterans Day Holiday.
