Last week, R.V. Traylor Elementary in Lordsburg welcomed members from the National Center for Culturally Responsive Teaching and Learning (CCRTL) for a two-day visit. During their time on campus, teachers engaged in personalized, one-on-one coaching focused on implementing responsive practices aimed at shifting the emphasis from student behavior to self-reflection. The goal of the visit was to help empower educators to adapt their teaching strategies in ways that are more culturally and linguistically responsive, ultimately enhancing student engagement and learning outcomes.
