The New Mexico Department of Veterans Services has made recent appointments to field offices. Clint Anderson has been named to fill the Disabled Veterans Services field service division office in Las Cruces. Mr. Anderson, a Navy veteran, will be located at the DVS office, located at 2024 East Griggs Avenue in Las Cruces. For the Silver City office, Clarissa Sierra, an Army National Guard veteran, will be serving as the VSO where she will help DVS VSO Southwestern Region Supervisor, Miguel Martinez assist veterans and their families in the region.

Southern New Mexico Give Day is coming April 21. You can still get your non-profit registered for this virtual day of giving. As a bonus, the first 60 nonprofit organizations who register are eligible to receive a $1 to $1 match up to $500! “Southern New Mexico Gives” will be supporting 50 organizations from Dona Ana County and 10 from Luna County with the first matches. For Hurley residents, the Town of Hurley invites public input on their five-year comprehensive plan. The meeting last night was on community facilities. The meeting on April 4 will be on transportation. The meeting on April 11 will be on economic development. The meeting on April 18 will be on housing.
