Major street improvements are underway in Silver City, with a $2 million project in the east Chihuahua Hill neighborhood expected to be completed by July, bringing new pavement, sidewalks, and ADA-compliant upgrades to several streets. A larger $5 million reconstruction of Swan Street from 32nd Street to Cain Drive is also planned for later this year, though the final extent depends on state funding. Additional work includes a feasibility study for Sheriff’s Posse Road and annual maintenance treatments scheduled for multiple streets across the original townsite area later this summer.
