The New Mexico Rural Health Care Delivery Fund has had a significant impact on Hidalgo Medical Services (HMS) by helping strengthen healthcare access, expanding critical services, and supporting innovative solutions for rural communities across Grant and Hidalgo Counties. Through this funding, HMS has advanced essential initiatives, including the expansion of neuropsychological testing services and the development of new transportation services to ensure equitable access to care. In addition, HMS is actively developing three further initiatives for the region—mobile crisis response, a mobile health unit, and a dental unit—to further enhance comprehensive, accessible care for rural populations.
