Silver Consolidated Schools officials are considering proposed revisions to the district’s discipline matrix and student handbooks, with a focus on balancing stricter enforcement in some areas with more supportive, progressive discipline in others. The changes include addressing behaviors such as the use of ethnic slurs, adding counseling requirements for alcohol and tobacco violations, and increasing consequences for failure to comply with staff directives. The board is expected to vote on the proposals next month, with implementation planned for the 2026–27 school year.
