Luna County District 3 Commissioner Christie Ann Harvey will host a Town Hall Meeting this evening, April 11th at 6:00 p.m. in the Luna County Commission Chambers. The meeting will address key topics such as infrastructure improvements, public safety, economic development, and other matters affecting the county. This event offers residents an opportunity to engage directly with Commissioner Harvey, discuss local issues, and share their concerns or ideas regarding the future of Luna County.

The Commons Center for Food Security and Sustainability recently recognized Janie Epperson, Chris Kunz, Trish Padian, Jeff Perez, and Steve White in its Volunteer Spotlight. This dedicated group of volunteers delivers approximately 83 pantry boxes each month to households throughout Grant County, including Silver City, the Mining District, and Hachita. Their efforts play a vital role in helping The Commons reach food-insecure individuals who are homebound and unable to access traditional food pantries.

Fort Bayard will host Dora’s 9th Annual Easter Egg Hunt on April 12th at Fort Bayard Bataan Park in Santa Clara. The event begins at 11:00 a.m. and will feature free food, a jumping balloon, crafts, music, and more.

In Deming, D1 Church will present its annual Easter Egg Hunt on April 12th from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Deming Courthouse Park. The event includes food, games, prizes, and more. Registration for the Easter Egg Hunt will begin at 8:30 a.m. 

On Sunday, April 13th, the Silver City Moose Lodge will host its Easter Egg Hunt at Little Walnut Picnic Grounds starting at 1:00 p.m. The event will feature food, jumping balloons, and over 3,000 eggs filled with prizes, candy, and more, welcoming children of all ages.
