Get down to earth at the Silver City CLAY Festival, July 27th to August 2nd. Whether you are a seasoned clay artist or want to get your hands dirty for the first time, you will be right at home at the CLAY Festival. Kickoff the 2015 CLAY Festival at the CLAY Gala on Thursday, July 30th, from 6-9 pm. This event is sponsored by Lawley Toyota. The evening will feature the opening of the International Juried Exhibition: Clay in the Garden and a display of sculptures by Cuba, NM artist – Sara D’Allesandro. Happening Saturday, July 25th, from 3-9pm, the Silver City CLAY Festival will feature their very own clay-composite chips at the third annual CLAY Poker Tournament Fundraiser! Texas Hold ‘Em will be the game of choice with prizes for the final ten players, including a week-long condo resort vacation in Park City, Utah! The tournament will be a fundraising event at the “Old Elks Lodge”, 315 N Texas St., Silver City, New Mexico. Anyone over the age of 21 may observe the tournament without needing to register, although donations are appreciated and can be taken at the door. Join us for an evening of great fun!
