Two photographers and a painter will take the featured artists positions at the Grant County Art Guild’s Pinos Altos Art Gallery this weekend.
On Friday, July 17, and Saturday, July 18, FeVa Fotos photographers Sandy Feutz and Tom Vaughan will have a special exhibit of some of their latest photography. Their work is eclectic, including wildlife, landscapes, events, portrait shots and street scenes and has been featured in local, regional and national publications. On these two special days, they will have available for viewing their portfolios of photography not currently showing in galleries, including many favorites from past shows. This Friday and Saturday, Sandy and Tom will be welcoming visitors to this unique gallery that is housed in the historic Hearst Church, 14 Golden Avenue, in Pinos Altos.
On Sunday, July 19, Barbara Smith will be the featured artist at the Pinos Altos Art Gallery. Barbara is known in Silver City for her colorful paintings and also for her volunteer work, including the Mainstreet organization and the Silver City Visitor Center. As a talented artist and longtime member of the Grant County Art Guild, Barbara is the originator and chairperson for the Guild’s annual Masters Show.
The Grant County Art Guild is a nonprofit organization of local artists, photographers and a variety of fine crafters. Membership consists of those well-known on the local art scene for their work, as well as promising new artists. There are now 40-plus members of the Guild, with most showing their work at the seasonal Pinos Altos Art Gallery. The Gallery is open from 10 a.m. till 5 p.m. on Friday, Saturday, Sunday and major holidays throughOctober 18. Browsers and buyers as well as history buffs are always welcome and there is never an entry fee.
