Here’s a look at some fun facts in celebration of a new year:
We have the list of the top ten baby names in New Mexico for 2018, as compiled by the Department of Health’s Bureau of Vital Records and Health Statistics: For girls, the top name was Isabella, followed by: Mia; Sophia; Olivia; Emma; Sofia, spelled S-O-F-I-A; Ava; Amelia; Camila; and Mila. For the boys, the most popular name was, Noah, followed by: Liam; Elijah; Logan; Mateo; Daniel; Mason; Sebastian; Benjamin; and Julian. In addition, since the Department of Health began releasing this top 10 list in 2014: Mia has been among the top two names for newborn girls in New Mexico. Noah has been in the top two among boys for four of the last five years. Michael has fallen out of the top 10 for the first time in five years.
Looking into the new year, here’s a straight forward quote from Country Singer, Brad Paisley: “Today is the first blank page of a 365-page book. Write a good one.”
